Window installation day looks different than most homeowners expect if they have never had windows replaced before. Here is what to expect when At Ease Windows installs your new Vistamark Endura windows, from the morning our crew arrives to the final walkthrough.

Before the crew arrives
Clear the area around each window being replaced, both inside and out. Move furniture, remove blinds or curtains if you have not already, and take down anything hanging on the wall near the window that could be jarred loose during work. If you have security screens, storm shutters, or window air conditioning units installed, let us know ahead of time so we can plan around them.
Protecting your home
Our installers lay down floor protection and drop cloths in the work area before removing any old windows. We treat your home like we would want ours treated. We treat every room the same way regardless of whether it is a single window or a whole-house project.
Removal and installation
Each old window is carefully removed, the opening is inspected and prepped, and the new window is set, leveled, and sealed. Most single windows take a matter of hours from start to finish, not days. Any rot or damage found in the framing during removal is flagged immediately so you know about it before it is closed back up, not after. Most windows go in without any surprises, but we would rather flag an issue honestly than seal it up and let it become a bigger problem later.
Cleanup and walkthrough
When installation is complete, the crew cleans up all debris and packaging, then walks you through each new window, showing you how to operate and lock it, and answering any questions before they leave. We check the operation of every lock and sash before considering the job finished.
What you are left with
Every window comes with a Limited Lifetime Warranty on the window itself, backed by our 5-year workmanship warranty on the installation. If anything is ever off, we stand behind both the product and the install. Keep your paperwork somewhere easy to find, since both warranties reference your installation date.
A Note on Weather
Central Texas weather can change fast, and we plan around it. If a scheduled window installation day runs into unexpected rain or severe weather, we will reach out ahead of time to reschedule rather than risk an unsafe or incomplete install. Your home is never left open and exposed overnight. We would rather push a date back a day than compromise how well your new windows seal.
What Homeowners Are Often Surprised By
Most homeowners tell us the process is quieter and faster than they expected. There is no need to leave the house during installation, though some prefer to run errands during the loudest part of removal. Pets should be kept in a closed-off room or outside the work area for their own safety and so the crew can move freely. Older kids and teenagers are usually fine staying home during the work.
After Installation Day
New windows can take a few days to fully settle into their finished look, especially if fresh caulk or trim work was part of the job. If anything feels off once you have lived with the windows for a week, a quick call gets it addressed under your workmanship warranty, no debate required. This is completely normal and not a sign anything was installed incorrectly.
Knowing what window installation day actually involves takes most of the anxiety out of the process. It is a well-worn routine for our crew, even if it is new for you.
